Datin Suryani obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Hons) from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. She began her career in finance at Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. and thereafter as an Investment Analyst with Seacorp Schroders Capital Management. She has retail experience having served Chopard Malaysia, a luxury Swiss international brand heading their flagship boutique with an added role as the systems expert for Chopardforce, Chopard’s global CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Prior to this, as an entrepreneur, Datin Suryani was a business retail partner to Caltex Malaysia. She is a Chairwoman of ESOS Committee and a member of the RC in GTB. Datin Suryani currently sits on the board of Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and several of its subsidiaries. Datin Suryani also is a Director of Malaysia Airports (Niaga) Sdn. Bhd., the retail subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd., MST Golf Group Sdn. Bhd. and Titian Pesaka Sdn. Bhd. She attended 3 of the 5 Board Meetings held during the financial year ended 31 December 2022 since her appointment on 12 May 2022. Datin Suryani does not have any family relationship with any director and/or major shareholder of GTB, nor any conflict of interest in any business arrangement involving the Company.
